Phantasmagoria Event!

This Halloween Praxis took part in the fantastic Museums at Night. Along with all the artists at Ampersand Inventions and under the direction of Melanie Kyles we conjured up the beguiling night Phantasmagoria, a unique evening for people who wanted a bit more bite to their fright! We put on a spook-fest of creepy art workshops, live taxidermy demonstrations, good music and a killer catwalk of the best Halloween costumes I've ever seen.

Praxis transformed itself into the Beetlejuice waiting room for the night, where you could win the artwork on the walls and dive your teeth into sugary treats. Notice Bea gliding past in her cape, Ampersand's crown jewel, she told frightful horror stories all night.
Helen of Osseus Design became a voodoo ice queen, capturing our guests amazing costumes as art with Tim Burton inspired portraits.
The beautiful portraits Helen created. By the end of the night the que for her table was nearly out the door!
Our resident print maker Nick Christie assisted guests in pulling their own glow in the dark prints under UV lights as one of our many take-away-art workshops.
The final glow in the dark skull screenprint taken from a lino cutting made by Nick. Ampersands & skulls featured heavily on the night! We know what we like.
Moth Studios live taxidermy. Sherene's Butterfly Pinning workshops come highly recommended.
Nimble fingers at Melanie Kyles bat brooche making workshop.
No event at Ampersand Inventions is complete with out the addition of the OptiGo Photobooth.
To finish a little show off of mine & Jonpaul's Beetlejuice costumes being photo-booth-bombed by a horse! Told you Optigo is the best.

Keep your peeper peeled on Ampersand Inventions Facebook page for details of our upcoming Christmas event!
